BLUEBERRY GUIDE
Ways to Enjoy
Before you begin
Prepare frozen products according to the washing and cooking instructions on the pack. Thawing alone does not replace cooking when cooking is required.
Ingredient quantities below are examples for combining foods. Follow the final product label for storage, preparation and shelf life.

GUIDE 01 / FROZEN · LARGE PACK
Canadian Frozen Blueberries 1 kg
Blueberries for different everyday uses

Who it is for
A little for yogurt, a handful for a smoothie. Keep a pouch in the freezer for the different ways you enjoy blueberries.
About this format
An unportioned 1kg pouch lets you choose how much to use each time.
Ways to use it

Baking
Measure the amount needed for muffin or pancake batter first. Follow your recipe and the product instructions on whether to thaw.

Sauces and toppings
Cook only the amount you need into a sauce for yogurt, cheesecake or French toast.

Cafés and home kitchens
For a recipe using 50g per drink, 1kg makes 20 portions. This is a calculation example, not a recommended serving size.
Storage
Store frozen at −18°C or below. Take out only what you need with a dry utensil, reseal, and return the pouch to the freezer immediately. Avoid repeatedly thawing the entire pouch.
GUIDE 02 / FROZEN · STANDARD PACK
Selected Canadian Frozen Blueberries 500 g
For smaller kitchens, cooking and toppings

Who it is for
For one- or two-person households, occasional use, or freezers with limited space for a larger pack.
About this format
Portion the frozen blueberries as you need them, then reseal the pouch to store the rest.
Ways to use it

Yogurt and oatmeal
Prepare the blueberries according to the product instructions, then add as much as you need to a bowl.

Ricotta toast
Spread ricotta on toasted bread and add prepared blueberries. Removing excess moisture helps keep the toast from becoming soggy.

Small-batch baking
Try them in a few weekend muffins or pancakes. Using 50g each time gives ten portions from a 500g pack.
Storage
Store frozen at −18°C or below. Take out only what you need with a dry utensil, reseal, and return the pouch to the freezer immediately. Avoid repeatedly thawing the entire pouch.
GUIDE 03 / FROZEN · INDIVIDUAL PORTIONS
Canadian Frozen Blueberries · 12 Packs 30g × 12 packs · 360g total
Take just the packs you need.

Who it is for
For taking blueberries with lunch or on a picnic without portioning them into another container.
About this format
Each sachet holds 30g. Both the outer pouch and individual sachets have a zipper for resealing.
Ways to use it

With lunch
Before leaving, put the packs you need into an insulated bag with ice packs. Keep them frozen in transit and place them in a freezer on arrival until ready to use.

Packing for a picnic
Choose the number of packs for your group and the amount you need. Place the small packs directly in an insulated bag, with suitable cooling to keep them frozen during the journey.

Easy at home, too
Each pack holds 30g. Add it to a bowl of yogurt or use the amount you need. If any remains, close the zipper fully and follow the product's storage instructions.
Storage
Store frozen at −18°C or below. Use ice packs and an insulated bag to keep the product frozen while travelling, and keep it frozen on arrival until use. Closing the zipper does not replace frozen storage. If thawing is needed, thaw in the refrigerator and follow the label's washing and cooking instructions.
GUIDE 04 / WHOLE FREEZE-DRIED
Canadian Blueberry Chips 35 g
Whole blueberries, a different texture

Who it is for
For a light fruit snack, a little texture in yogurt, or a blueberry finishing touch for desserts.
About this format
The blueberries are freeze-dried whole to retain their shape. Removing moisture creates a light, crisp texture that gradually softens in yogurt.
Ways to use it

As a snack
Take out what you would like to eat, then close the zipper promptly to limit exposure to air and moisture.

As a topping
Add just before eating yogurt or ice cream. The fruit softens over time when it absorbs moisture, so time it for the texture you prefer.

Crumble to finish
Gently crush a small amount over oatmeal or dessert. This is a way to use the whole chips, rather than a separate powder product.
Storage
Store away from sunlight and moisture. Use dry hands or utensils, take out what you need, and reseal immediately. If the zipper is damaged, transfer the berries to a clean, dry airtight container.
GUIDE 05 / Freeze-dried whole berries · Individual packs
Canadian Blueberry Chips — 8 Packs 5 g × 8 packs · 40 g total
Crisp blueberries, in small packs.
Who it is for
For a small snack on the way out, or a little crisp texture added to your food.
About this format
Choose the number of 5 g packs you need, while the rest stay unopened. The 35 g pouch is the alternative for portioning directly from one bag.
Ways to use it
A pack to take along
Take a small pack for work or a walk. Keep it where it will not be crushed, and open it when you are ready to eat.
For a bowl of yogurt
Add just before eating to enjoy the crisp texture. Use a 5 g pack as a starting point and adjust to taste.
A few packs to share
Bring out as many packs as you need to share. Return unopened packs to the outer pouch and close its zipper.
Storage
Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture. Open each small pack just before eating and reseal any remainder promptly. Prolonged exposure to air after opening can soften the berries.
GUIDE 06 / Blueberry jam · Spread
Canadian Blueberry Spread 320 g
Spread on toast. Stir into yogurt.
Who it is for
For breakfast toast, or a fruit accompaniment to yogurt and cheese.
About this format
A blueberry spread ready to spoon out without preparing a separate sauce. Take what you need and replace the lid.
Ways to use it
On warm toast
Spread a thin layer on toasted bread. Add butter or ricotta if you like.
A swirl through yogurt
Add a little at a time to plain yogurt and swirl gently, leaving some purple and white visible.
With cheese and crackers
Spoon a little into a small dish beside cheese and crackers. When sharing, serve from a dish rather than dipping directly into the jar.
Storage
After opening, use a clean, dry spoon, replace the lid and refrigerate. Unopened storage conditions and the use period after opening will be provided on the final product label.

Practical questions about use and storage
How should I store the frozen products?
Store frozen at −18°C or below. Take out only what you need with a dry utensil, reseal, and return the pouch to the freezer immediately. Avoid repeatedly thawing the entire pouch.
How should I thaw the blueberries?
Place only the amount you need in a covered container and thaw in a refrigerator at 4°C or below. Do not leave the entire pouch on the counter to thaw.
How should I take a 30g sachet with me?
Take the sachets out just before leaving and place them in an insulated bag with fully frozen ice packs. Put them in a freezer on arrival. Cooling time depends on the bag and the weather.
How do I keep freeze-dried berries crisp?
