OUR BEGINNING
Getting to know one ingredient.
Blue Bear Cove began with Canadian premium blueberries and the foods we can make from them. Focusing on one ingredient lets us look more closely at its journey from the growing region to the way it is used.
The first collection brings together frozen blueberries, whole freeze-dried blueberry chips and a 320 g spread. Ingredients to portion, small packs to take along, and a spread for bread: each format has its own place.
WHY CANADA
Starting with where it grows.
CANADA in our name identifies the origin we focus on. Alongside that name, we want to understand the fruit we use and how it is selected and handled.
We aim to make the origin, ingredients and processing clear when you choose a product. Once suppliers and specifications are confirmed, we will share details supported by verifiable information.
OUR NAME
The name Blue Bear Cove.
BLUE stands for blueberries. BEAR represents us as part of nature, seeking good blueberries. COVE evokes a small sheltered bay where nature and everyday life meet.
We consider both the quality of the fruit and the natural environment that grows it. We want to use what nature provides with care and make choices that support the seasons ahead. The same bear carries that idea across our products.
HOW WE DEVELOP
Different uses, different formats.
The 1kg pack is for adding a little to different meals over time; 500g offers a smaller starting point or takes less freezer space. The 30g portions make it easy to take only the packs you need, while freeze-drying opens up ways to enjoy whole blueberries as snacks and toppings.
Each size and format should have a purpose. We develop products around where, by whom and how often they will be used, with practical information alongside them.
OUR STANDARD
What premium means to us.
How we select ingredients, the quality we aim to maintain during use, and how clearly we present information. For Blue Bear Cove, premium means refining these details consistently.
We take the same approach to packaging. We are developing packs that use recycled materials wherever food safety allows and can be recycled after use. Our material and structural choices aim to give used resources another purpose.

WHAT COMES NEXT
Exploring what blueberries can become.
From frozen and freeze-dried blueberries to spread, with powder and purée to explore next. We are developing ways to use Canadian blueberries at home, in cafés and in bakeries.
As we prepare our first collection for Korea, we will continue developing our products and standards around this one ingredient.
